Let Your Praise Be Transformative

For the last few weeks the Lord has been ministering to me about praise, so I wanted to use this time to share the new and revived perspective He’s been giving me via various sources, and revelation in His Word!

Praise Enthrones God

“Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.” (Psalms 22:3).

I read this scripture in Psalms the other day, and it completely opened my eyes in a new way about what praise does. We all hear about praise, and how good it is. Up until this point, I was living an average awareness about what praise is and can do. The scripture says that God is “enthroned upon the praises of Israel.” I took this to mean that we can make His throne as big as the praises He sits upon, figuratively. We ought to lift God up,  because of who He is regardless of how we feel or what we can see. If we want God to be MEGA in our lives, we ought to give Him MEGA praise. The smallest things that God does for us on a daily basis are worthy of the utmost praise, and not to be taken for granted. The fact that we were granted the opportunity to have breathe in our body, that is praise worthy. Daily existence is worthy of MEGA praise to God, let alone the fact that He takes the time do miracles for us. He saved us from eternal damnation. He healed some of you from terminal illnesses. He blessed you with your heart’s desires. He delivered some of you from drugs. He took you out of the darkness and exposed you to an everlasting hope and life that can’t be put out. You are changed. That is worthy of MEGA praise! We can make God MEGA in our lives, by enthroning Him upon MEGA praises.

Praise Transforms Your Mind

There have been times where I have felt overwhelmed or anxious about the way things looked in my life or around me. I’ve come to a better place now where I look at the situation, and I think: “What does God’s word say about this?” or “What has God told me about this?” At that point I’m able to think on those good words and scriptures of the Lord in place of what seemed to feel overwhelming. This allows my mind to remember the hope that can be found in Jesus being bigger and greater than my situation. Praise takes you from a state of worry, anxiety, or low faith to a place of faith! The scripture says, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things,” (Philippians 4:8). These are the things that we should be thinking on in replace of those lies the enemy tries to throw in our minds. There is always something good to think about. Even though I know I am still a work in progress, I know that this is something that helps my mind transition from a carnal state of mind to a mind focused on things above. A mind focused on things above, can’t be brought down by things of this world.

Praise Makes You Remember Who Your God Is

Praising God intelligently is key! That is, praising Him for who the scriptures say He is and for what He has already done in your life. Say “hallelujah”, “thank you Jesus”, and any other praises with knowledge and understanding of who He is. Praise Him with the scriptures: “You are Alpha and Omega”, “You created the heavens and the Earth”, “You sent your only begotten son…” This not only magnifies God through your praise, but it also increases your faith! Taking God out of the box of limited faith, allows God to move how He pleases in our lives. He moves by our faith, and if we are busy believing what He can do because of what He has done, He will begin to move mightily in our lives!

I am excited to keep going on and learning more about the transformative power of praise! I challenge you to take God out of the box, and let Him be MEGA in your lives through your MEGA worthy praise. Your praise is transformative.
