Trusting God to Supply Your Need

This year has been a stretching year for me in the realm of faith. Prior to this process God has taken me through of trusting Him even more, I would say I didn’t know what it really meant to really have faith or to even actually trust in God. I was still putting my faith and trust in certain things rather than in God.

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NASB)

I’ve learned so far that having faith in God is putting your trust in Him despite of who and what you expect to come through for you. Whether it’s you expecting that your money comes from your job, or that particular family member being there to help you in tough times, or if it’s you looking at a limited source of people to be there to support you.

What happens when all those sources and people you’ve put your expectation in don’t come through? Where do you turn to then?

While yes, it could hurt to have unmet expectations, but maybe God is trying to use that to get us to a more trusting place in Him. A place that accepts His sovereignty to use anyone and anything to supply your need. We have to humble ourselves to receive the blessings He is pouring out. Through this process we’ve been blessed to have all our needs met for our newborn, because God is using who He sees fit to keep abundantly pouring into us. I’m developing deeper and new relationships by accepting the support God is giving through unexpected people. I’m learning to trust God as my source in every area of my life, and for this I’ve been set free! I hope to encourage you to go after faith, and dive two feet in to trusting God. He’s worth it!

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
(2 Corinthians 3:17 NASB)
