I had the opportunity to share this testimony in my own personal life recently and it came to me this morning again.
When I was graduating from college I was looking for a job. I had given my life to the Lord already so I was open to how the Lord wanted to bless me. I wanted to be where the Lord wanted me to be. At the time I was an intern, and there was no real prospect or opportunity for them to hire me on full time at my job even though they wanted to. One Sunday during this process the Lord led me to sow my entire check. One of the paychecks I was making as an intern.
At my job, someone had resigned a few months prior and never officially submitted a letter of resignation. They couldn’t open a position for me because of this. After sowing the seed on Sunday, that person submitted that letter “out of the blue” on Monday.
Without me knowing about it the Lord was working it out for me to receive a harvest.
Long story short, that first job out of college was an 100+ fold continual blessing from the Lord as a result of the seed He gave me to plant. I thank God for it!
“And others fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.” Matthew 13:8 NASB1995
This morning it occurred to me that God had actually blessed me with an 100-fold blessing from the seed He led me to plant. It hit me in a new way. And after reading the reference Scriptures to Matthew 13:8, I see that this same principle is true for every area of our lives.
Not only is God using financial seeds to bless you with a financial harvest but He’s using circumstances in your life to bring the fruit of righteousness out of you. It’s not just about the money you want, the job you want, or the baby you want. God is using it to bring more fruit out of you!
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NASB1995
What areas is God trying to bring more fruit out of you? What areas are you being encouraged by the grace of God to bring forth more fruit? Well here’s your challenge to accept the challenge and trust God to bring forth a 30, 60, or 100 fold harvest from the love, patience, or faithfulness that you’ve sown. It’s on the way! Hallelujah.
I’m believing God for the harvest He’s promised me!
